The Arai XD-5 is a completely redesigned adventure helmet built around Arai's core priority: protection first. Every refinement — from the shell geometry to the ventilation system — is engineered to absorb and redirect impact energy while delivering exceptional all-day comfort for street, off-road, and multi-day ADV riding. Shell & Protection

• PB-cLc² shell constructed from an assortment of premium materials
• Super fiber belt reinforcement in the forehead area for added structural integrity
• VAS-A shield system repositioned lower to improve glancing-off ability in a crash
• Round, smooth shell designed to deflect and redirect impact energy away from the interior

Ventilation

• Peak: Redesigned for more effective airflow, greater sun-blocking adjustability, and reduced buffeting at speed
• Mouth Shutter: Larger aperture (2x vs. XD-4) for increased fresh airflow without mesh vents
• Inner Shutter: Works with the mouth shutter to direct air toward your mouth or shield for anti-fog performance
• Front Logo Duct: Position-independent forehead vent — airflow unaffected by riding posture
• AR Spoiler: Reduces turbulent air fatigue on long rides and draws hot air out of the crown
• Air Flap: Retractable pull-down spoiler reduces wind intrusion and vents exhaled heat from cheek pad edges

Shield System

• VAS-A Max Vision Shield: Tool-free attachment and removal; wide field of view; Pinlock-ready (insert included)
• Peak removal/installation uses a single screw per side
• Three configurations: shield only (street), peak only with goggles (off-road), or shield + peak (ADV)

Interior & Fit

• Odor-resistant and stain-resistant liner with skin-neutral acidity
• Removable micro-fit foam layers (5mm per side at temples, 5mm rear) for precise fit customization
• Note: micro-fit pads cannot be replaced once removed

Communications & Electronics

• Hyper-Ridge®: Re-sculpted flat side surfaces for easy, secure mounting of communication devices
• Speaker Pockets: Deep, wide ear pockets with hook-and-loop panels; no cheek pad removal needed for installation
